I love cooking a plant-based diet. Maybe that’s because I live in Northern California, where I can eat local, organically grown vegetables year-round. Ingredients grown with love and care definitely taste better—that’s knowledge gained from personal experience.

I have had the privilege of helping farmers sell their vegetables at my nearby farmers’ markets for almost 20 years. Experimenting with seasonal vegetables that come to the farmers’ market has opened my mind and my taste buds to new possibilities. And getting cooking ideas and tips from customers is such a gift.

You might notice that my recipes do not include specific measurements in the ingredient lists. Why? Because each person’s palate is different, and only through experience do we learn what we like and how we want our food to taste. Only you can decide how much of an ingredient to use to make your kitchen experiment a success. Take the leap: Try it, taste it, and  tweak it!

Thank you for stopping by my food blog. I hope you will join me on this culinary journey.
