The fridge is stocked. I bought some cooking implements and an easy-to-use salad spinner. I have a folder of recipes to make again or try for the first time. I think I’m ready … to begin my 60-day (yes, up from 30!) adventure of dining in—food prepared by me or people I know (that’s the easy way of saying it).
I have to admit that last night I had a dream … I was in the middle of my challenge … I had forgotten that I wasn’t eating restaurant food or takeout from anywhere … and I ate a burrito while out shopping … and when I realized what I had done, I was appalled at forgetting my pledge …
But today, the sun is shining, and all is well … and I’m ready.
